HOW HAS COVID-19 CHANGED THE MY GREEN SCHOOL ART CONTEST APPLICATION PROCESS?
Due to school closures, parents and families are encouraged to support their student in creating an original piece of art at home! Applications may only be submitted electronically to avoid potential exposure and reduce the burden on frontline postal staff.
Take a photo of your student's artwork with your phone or scan it using your printer and email it to greenschoolart@gmail.com. Make sure to include the application form, which is a fillable PDF, or fill out the application by hand, scan and send WITH the artwork.
WHEN IS THE APPLICATION DUE?
Applications are due, by email, at 11:59 pm on March 31, 2021. Winners will be announced in mid-April.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF MY STUDENT'S ARTWORK IS CHOSEN AS A WINNER?
The top 3 submissions in each grade level will be invited to an Awards Ceremony and celebration (virtual or in-person TBD!) in April, 2021. and will receive a small prize. Winning artwork will be displayed by the Green School Committee at events and in a traveling art exhibit in the State of Michigan for a year. After a year on display, we would be happy to send it back to you!
